"I found Classic Pumps (CP) on the Internet in 1999 and have
loved them and wear them daily. I wear them to work, to play and
to a variety of different places and situations. Sometimes
I even wear CP for hiking, gardening or even climbing up a
ladder. I wonder if anyone besides me has tried wearing
the Gina style for a house slipper? I found them very comfortable
for walking/working around the house.
I work at an office in a factory where I need to go to
the shop floor a lot. I typically wear a nice suit and CP.
I notice that people pay more attention to me when I'm
dressed like this AND I get more respect. On another hand,
it also drives the boys nutty and sometimes the girls too.
A few months ago, I walked right into the production supervisor's
office when they had two foremen arguing about something.
They stopped when I walked in and I sat them all down
and I, yes, I, solved the problem. My boss knows this has to
to do with my office "professional" dress and my attitude.
Sometimes I work in the shipping/production departments and I
need to lift 60 lbs+ boxes in my pumps. I have a few pairs
of CP I usually wear to work and they still hold up pretty well
after several years of wear and tear in the factory.
Although the company doesn't have an official dress code,
my boss always tries to encourage other employees (both males and
females) to dress more professionally. I'd like to think that
I'm doing my part to at least have a positive influence on
others."
