"I have loved high heels since I was a little girl. My mother always had an assortment of pumps in different styles and colors, neatly stacked in boxes in her closet. I remember admiring how they looked on her when she wore them. When I hit my teens in the '70's while my other friends were wearing sneakers all I wore were heels. I remember them asking me how I could walk in them and I'd tell them I found heels more comfortable than sneakers (and I meant it). I've never liked the clunky, chunky shoes that came out later. Even then I always wore pumps. No matter how shapely the legs, the shoes are the finishing touch and if the shoes aren't attractive the legs won't get a second look.

I had been searching for a pair of pumps for the past 2 years with absolutely no luck. I always managed to find a store in NYC where I could find a pair of sleek sexy shoes with particular attention to pump styles. Not this time. For the first time since my teens I did not have a simple pair of pumps in my closet. Talk about having a fashion crisis. With a pair of pumps you never have to worry about what goes well with an outfit. I love pumps because they're shoes you "dress up" or "dress down" with.

That is why I was so thrilled when I found the "Classic Pumps" website in August of 2003. I placed my order as soon as I was able to make my choice on what style. Actually my husband, my daughter (20) and my son (16) helped with my decision. Incedently, I'm 41 and have been married for 22 years. I know that my love for sexy shoes and sensual attire is part of what has captivated my husband's attention all these years. I know this because he was almost more excited than I was when I got my Lucy's and my Lola's. I don't think he's ever had so much fun taking pictures as he did when he took these.

As for getting a second look, I found that men have a very hard time diverting their attention from my pumps and my legs after the first glance. Come to think of it, I've noticed some women having the same problem (though probably not all for the same reason). To those ladies I say get yourselves a pair of pumps and enjoy the luxury, the sensuality and the attention you'll get. I love my Lucys and Lolas, they fit perfectly and they are so comfortable. I know this may sound silly but when I got them it was like being reunited with long lost friends.
